Are you looking to find God in Your Life?

In the midst of today’s turmoil it often is difficult to feel or sense the presence of the Great Divine Creator God.  Many people question whether there is a God with all that is happening in our world.  Others choose to blame God for everything that goes wrong.

Face it we are moving way too fast and not slowing down.  The media, social media, and cell phones keep us in a highly unaware state of our true self.

First off there is a God.  It may not be in a way that you were taught in Sunday school, but God is very much alive within You.  In this article I’m going to explain how you can find God.

Do you want answers from God?  Guess what?  You can receive answers if you let your mind visit the space between your thoughts.

You may be going, “Huh. What is she talking about?” I am talking about the endless Chatter that is constantly going on in our minds.  How can you expect to hear from the gentle spirit of God when your mind is cluttered with constant self talk and oftentimes confusion?

Buddha taught “It is not the words that are spoken; it is the silence between the words.”

Silence is the key that opens the connection to the Divine Spirit/God.  Of course it is easier said than done.  Silencing the mind is one of the most difficult things to do.  Many people meditate to get their mind quieter, but still find it extremely difficult.  Some people go into retreats for years so that they can learn to quiet their mind. It is absolutely that hard to still the mind of mindless chatter.

To help people understand more about God Jesus taught that The Kingdom of Heaven is within You.  Meaning that God lives within you!

Your Exercise

Try pausing between each thought and analyze that last thought you had and see if it was really important, of value, or needful in your life.  When you do this you are visiting the space between your thoughts.  When you can pay attention to your thoughts you will start noticing how much time you are wasting thinking about the past, present, and future.  All you really need to do is be quiet and still for as many moments as you possibly can throughout the day and you will start noticing that many things that were important to you really have very little meaning. Amazing how unimportant most of our thoughts are.

After having paused between thoughts you will become aware of how many of your thoughts were quite ridiculous. The things you were worried about a few minutes ago you start to see as not so important. Maybe you were worried about getting dinner prepared on time and if you would have enough for everyone. When you paused and look at your thoughts you realize dinner will get done and it will be enough for everyone. We worry sometimes over things that are really needless and this is the point of getting silent and learning to quiet your mind.

You may be scratching your head going what does this all mean, but if you can quiet your mind and think on all of the words here it will start to make sense to you.

You will find your prayers to the Divine Spirit/God will have a more profound meaning because of your silence, which will produce a true devotion and dedication to this miraculous Supreme Being. Still your mind right now!
