Full Supermoon March 9, 2020 in Virgo. The Worm Moon

So much energy is revolving around this full Moon.  We come to the end of Mercury Retrograde on March 10.  It is the first super Moon of the year!  This year, in 2020, the March full moon will also present the first of three straight full moon supermoons, and the year’s second-closest full moon overall. As we head towards Spring's arrival on the 19th of March you will feel a lot of shifting energy around you as the energy of new beginnings rises up to greet us. Although the moon will appear full to the eye on both– March 8 and 9, 2020 – the precise instant of full moon comes to pass on March 9, at 17:48 UT

Archangel Ariel

As March is often associated with the lion, in like a lion, the Archangel for this month is Ariel known as the Lion of God. Ariel is the angel of earth and water. Ariel will help you clean up your act, your home and your neighborhood and increasing the flow of good into your life. Ariel is very magical and a wonderful teacher in the skills of manifestation. Ariel works closely with Archangel Raphael in healing the environment and animals.  Whatever you would like to manifest this month call upon Ariel for assistance and know that this powerful angel will work with you.

Your feeling of safety is now related to order and clarity, even in emotions. You may have the need to organize everything chaotic and disorganized. Try being more tolerant and accept imperfections of life. It is better to trust life and let it run its own way, not everything must be according to our expectations.

The full moon in March has many different names due to its signifying changing from winter to spring.  It is known as Crow Moon, Worm Moon, or Storm Moon. It’s Time to Set Yourself Free from the Restraints of Winter and Swim to the Moon!

Winter Retreating – the Beginning of Springtime!

The Native American full moon names for March are largely based on these being considered the last full moons of winter; the crow caws its farewell to the season. The more northern tribes knew this Moon as the Full Crow Moon, when the cawing of crows signaled the end of winter; or the Full Crust Moon, because the snow cover becomes crusted from thawing by day and freezing at night.

Full Worm Moon (Algonquian Name) – As the temperature begins to warm and the ground begins to thaw, earthworm casts appear, heralding the return of the robins. The Full Sap Moon, marking the time of tapping maple trees, is another variation.

To the settlers, it was also known as the Lenten Moon, and was considered to be the last full Moon of winter. In Celtic tradition it is called Chaste Moon and Moon of Winds.

In Native American Medicine the Crow represents: Justice, shape shifting, change, creativity, spiritual strength, energy, community sharing, and balance.

So let’s remember the gifts that this period brings and trust that this is a good time of reflection and revising your journey in life. In the grand flow of life, these inward moving energies are conducive for fine tuning and helping to bring greater clarity, awareness, and focus

Use this extra Full Moon energy to make the necessary changes in your life.

The Wheel of the Year – The Spring Equinox falls on Thursday, March 19, which is earlier than it's been in over a century!  This is when day and night are equal. It is a time of balance where unnecessary things, thoughts and habits are thrown away to make room for the new. The feel-good factor about this day, however, is that the first official astrological day of spring hints that high temperatures are not far off.

With spring everyone begins to enjoy the bounties of the earth once more, as plants and animals show new life again. The land turns green, wildlife flourishes and people are filled with anticipation for the coming of summer, the time of harvest.

It’s important to remember that the dawning of spring has been observed for a long time in many cultures. Traditions vary widely from one country to the next.  In this time of a year, everything is woken up from winter and they are full of vitality.

Springtime is a wonderful season to celebrate with much merriment and shared feasts, as families gather together, dancing and enjoying the gifts of the land. Just as those in ancient times find a reason to give thanks for being here another day. Do something special to honor the fact that you are still here. Celebrations and rituals are important in our spiritual walk.

A lovely quotation from Chief Sitting Bull on spring. “Behold, my friends, the spring is come; the earth has gladly received the embraces of the sun, and we shall soon see the results of their love!"

Robin Williams on Spring.  "Springtime is Mother Nature’s way of saying Let’s Party!"

I am so glad that these messages are helpful for you.

I feel that all full moons are a special time for us to connect to the Great Spirit as well as the moon. Do something special in honor of this full moon.
