Full Moon December 12, 2019 in Gemini and the Geminid Meteor Shower

The last full moon of the year occurs on December 12, 2019, and is in the sign of Gemini.  This is also the last full Moon of the decade!  2020 is going to be full of changes in our lives.  We’re going to find new ways of doing things.  December brings the perfect balance of energies to prepare us for what is to come.  December's Cold Moon is a good time to evaluate the ordeals and trials in our lives.

The Geminid meteor shower will peak on the evening of Dec. 13-14. It is the best meteor shower of the year; it can bring up to 120 meteors per hour. This year, though, a full moon will contest the shower and could wash out the fainter meteors.  No matter what enjoy this gift from the universe.

This Full Moon falling in Gemini gives us so many alternate ways to approach the end of the year and closing out this decade.  People can often become emotional at this time of year and if you do realize it’s just the rhythm of nature.  Do not be concerned.  Let the light of The Creator into your heart and you will find the spark of joy once more.

This Cold Moon is asking us to slow down.  Try not to be caught up in the rush of the holidays and ending of the year.  This is a time to go within and see what your true spiritual self is asking of you.  It may be quite simple and not as complex as the energies of the world.

The rhythm of nature is calling for us to be content within ourselves.  You do not need to hide under the blankets, unless you choose to.  Allow yourself to just be whoever you are and not follow the dictates of society.

If you are going through great trials and tribulations, they will be coming to an end within the next 30 days.  Ask for what you need and expect it to be return to you.  Keep your faith strong so you can embrace whatever comes your way on this full Moon!

Here we are in the last month of the year and what a year it has been! A lot of changes have already occurred in many ways, now it’s the full rotation of change coming to its completion.

During this Full Moon and throughout the month, call upon Archangel Raphael. He is here to help you through this time and to heal away your fears, worries, and concerns. Archangel Raphael, whose name means, “God Heals”, is here to shower you with his green light energy of abundance, healing and movement.

With this Full Moon it’s a shift of energy and conscious comprehension. Time for old ways to float away and for the veil to be lifted. It’s time to allow what was once thought to be so unbelievable, to be believable! Allow yourself to entertain ideas that you normally would not. Be optimistic and move with the momentum that is already there. Archangel Raphael will help bring forth what it is you need to address and let go and will also guide you to the learning that you need, helping you become more understanding.

The Moon is very feminine; it’s all about our feelings being expressed and verbalized. Your head may feel a little busy and our sub-conscious is out on the full show. What was hidden is now revealed and you will need to deal with it! We will all react differently to this.

In Native American cultures which tracked the calendar by the Moons, December’s Full Moon was known as the Full Cold Moon. It is fittingly associated with the month when winter cold fastens its grip and the nights become long and dark.  Another name for this full Moon is Long Night Moon which is a doubly appropriate name because the midwinter night is indeed long, and because the Moon is above the horizon for a long time. Other names for The December Full Moon are Oak Moon, Winter Moon, and Wolf Moon. This is the time of the Dark Lord, with the Oak being his symbol. It is the time of rebirth.

The week of the Full Moon is filled with blessings from The Divine. So take some time to stop in the midst of the chaos of the holidays and appreciate all of the spiritual blessings that are coming to us at this time.

This is a wonderful time of year and definitely the time to send out your dreams to the universe.  By doing this you will see the growth of what you have put out come springtime.
