Full Moon July 16, 2019 Lunar Eclipse and Mercury Retrograde

The summer skies will light up on July 16, 2019 in Capricorn.  This is going to be the busiest Full Moon of the year as we’re going to be experiencing a lunar eclipse along with other planetary surprises.

The full moon in July represents what many natives call “Thunder Moon”, since July is a time of thunderstorms, rains and downpours appear.  Work with this powerful full Moon energy.  Visualize the 'Quickening' like in the movie 'The Highlander' as you use this Thunder Moon to charge and revitalize your energy.

Here comes Mercury Retrograde!

If you accidentally email the wrong person, your luggage gets lost, and everything seems to be going wrong, you might think, “Mercury must be retrograde!” And from July 7 until July 31, you’ll be correct.

Retrogrades are tough enough as it is, but when this one kicks off on July 7, it will actually move through two signs: Leo and Cancer. You’ll be experiencing two very different retrograde energies: Leo’s bold, overly confident and (sometimes) obnoxious showoff style of communication and Cancer’s mood-swinging, sensitive, cuddle-me-now-or-feel-my-wrath type of energy.

First things first: This Mercury Retrograde is taking place during eclipse season (Do we get a freaking break?!)  When the planet that rules communication, technology, and our thought processes stations retrograde, you turn off your phone and then can’t find it, forget to hit send on important emails and texts, and have awkward run-ins with our exes.  Be prepared for these moments during the next three weeks.

During this retrograde, You should be looking inwards. This is a great time to do Dream-work and meditation on goals and plans, especially spiritual ones.

Because July is normally the month when the new antlers of buck deer push out of their foreheads in coatings of velvety fur, this moon is called the full Buck Moon.  The gifts that the buck deer gives to us are gentleness in our words, thoughts and our deeds.  Listen with the ears of the deer buck to hear the beauty all around you.  This is a wonderful time to be outdoors and for a time let go of civilization.  Go back to who you really are.  Back to nature. 

This Full Moon is about balancing our commitment to our career and families. Something has been building inside of us, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them.

The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between roots and direction. With the Moon full symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems.

Take time to pray and visualize what you want during this full moon.

This Full Moon is bursting with energy –some positive and some negative.  This is a good time to tune into your intuitive self as this will help you keep your emotions at an even level even level.  If not your Emotions will be running at a very high level and could cause problems in relationships or finances.  It is a time to keep yourself balanced as it will be easy to get emotional during this full Moon.  This is a wonderful time to get your Chakras balanced so you do have an even level of emotions during this wild energy.

With the Moon being in Capricorn this is a time of creativity.  Use this time to let your creative side come out and express itself in a positive way.  Let the Thunder be the power behind your creativity during the next 28 days.

One of the best things you can do at this time is to meditate and keep your mind focused on positive thoughts.  With this energy any negative thoughts can take off like a firework and cause you to explode.  Take time to pray and visualize what you want during this full moon.

The Full Thunder Moon is a perfect time to do a Burning Bowl Ceremony.  In this ceremony you release all that is not needed in your life so that you make way for new positive energies to come into your life.  With the hot summer months this is perfect to do outdoors with a barbecue or fire.

It is time to cleanse and charge your crystals under the Sun during the day and the Moon by night.  Your crystals need to be cleansed periodically to get rid of any residue energies so that they can function at their highest capacity.
